In 2014 Alberta West assisted with the financial sponsorship of Matt Patershuk of LaGlace, Alberta, a singer-songwriter who’s 2014 CD "Outside the Lights of Town", earned him a 2014 Western Canadian Music Award nomination for Country Recording of the Year.
